Why does Bird Off work?
The active ingredient works in two (2) ways.
First, Bird-Off Gel makes pigeons leave
as a result of physical contact with the gel laced with white pepper causing the skin to become
extremely hot and uncomfortable. Pigeons/Birds do not like the physical exposure to the styptic
sensation of geranium and the 'Hot" sensation of white pepper. Bird-OFF helps train
pigeons/birds to go elsewhere.
Second, the odor given off from geranium oil is a very pungent astringent
smell to pigeons/birds.

preventing pigeons from returning
Do not confuse Bird-Off Gel with other polybutene adhesive gels like Hot Foot,
Bird B Gone, Nexalite, Tangle Foot,
and Bird-X that use Polybutene - which turns black, collects feathers, bird
dander and dirt/dust as well as being a pollutant Polybutene will build up
with each application and becomes a maintenance nightmare to take off,
clean and expense.
What Is Polybutene?
A clear and colorless liquid that is sold in many different grades of molecular
weight, the higher grades showing increased viscosity. It is used as an additive
for engine oils and greases, and as an extender in putty for sealing roofs and
windows. In hydrogenated form, it is also used in a wide variety of cosmetic
preparations, such as lipstick or in adhesives due to its tackiness.
Polybutene Applications & Cost Effectiveness:
Bird Gels made with Polybutene are by far cheaper. Polybutene based bird gels
contain no active ingredients, do not last as long and will cause surfaces to become unattractive.
The polybutene used in most of these gels are roof grade adhesive and trap bird dander, leaves and debri.
Polybutenes are susceptible to heat and water and and may require re-application every 3-6 months, an economical consideration for re-work time for maintenance.

What is Bird Off Gel?
Bird Off Gel is the original and first bio repellent gel. It is used to prevent pigeons/birds from roosting and congregating in unwanted areas.
Unlike other bird repellent gel which are made from polybutene, Bird Off Gel is an oil base bird repellent gel. It’s non toxic and doesn’t harm the bird,
even if the pigeon/birds come in contact with Bird Off Gel they can still fly or walk. They will not be trapped on the gel.

How to use Bird Off Gel» Use this product on narrow ledges, pipes and beams
» To apply, squeeze gel from tube in a zig-zag pattern
» Re-apply gel every six months to insure effectiveness
Before Applying:
» Clean the surfaces thoroughly. Remove dirt, dropping and other debris. Product must be applied to a clean and dry surface.
» When cleaning surfaces, take the necessary steps to protect yourself against bird waste hazards.
» Treat porous and textured surfaces with an under coating such as paint or sealer. See the product label for more details.
» The Birds works in hot and cold temperatures. It retains its tack from 15o F. up to 200o F.
» The Birds is labeled for use in repelling pigeons and starlings. Do Not apply where desirable bird species are present.
How to apply Bird Off GelBird Off Gel is applied by caulking gun. Remove pigeon droppings and dirt in the area where Bird Off Gel is to be applied. Apply Bird Off Gel in a wave like fashion or in straight line. Bird Off Gel can be used anywhere: window sills, air conditioning units, air conditioning tubes and coils, roofs, ledges, billboards, places where birds roost and congregate.
